Dr. Jennings received his bachelor degree from Roanoke College and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He has been in private practice in Wytheville, Virginia since 1981 and is proud to have worked with Theodore P. Werblin, M.D., PhD. at The Werblin Center in Princeton, West Virginia from 1985-2000, a clinic dedicated to offering medical and surgical eye care.
Dr. Jennings has received numerous awards for his service to the profession including: American Optometric Association's "Optometric Recognition Award" bestowed annually for continuing education for over 10 years and is a recipient of SECO International's "Optometrist of the South Award", the Virginia Optometric Association's "Distinguished Achievement Award" and "Optometrist of the Year Award. He has additionally served his profession as president of the Virginia Optometric Association, president of SECO International, member of the National Board of Examiners Construction Committee for the Visual Sciences, a member of the Virginia Board of Optometry.
